I’m not going to start thinking or complaining about my life here. Not this time. However, the are a few things you need to know about my life, if you haven’t figured it out by now.
- I’m married, happily.
- I have a full time day job that pays the bills and supports my creative habits.
- I am constantly creating.
- I’m a lousy housekeeper, but an awesome cook.
- I battle myself everyday just to get out of bed and make life happen.
So, when I get a win, no matter how small, I celebrate and keep working towards the bigger picture. Which usually involves more writing.
So, you’d think that when I finally get some vacation time from work, like 9 days uninterrupted, I’d be packing it up, and leaving the writing on the table.
*bahhhh* Guess again.
It’s just uninterrupted writing time managed by naps and occasional food breaks with the husband. The writing takes place of the full time job and I work hard to get my stuff done.
There will be a few days where I will take a break from everything and just spend it with Mr. Stacy. But for 7 of those days, I get paid to pretend I’m a full time writer.
And really, that’s the best vacation of all.
